So, you couldn't resist? Well, here's a bit about me. Born in the spring of 1981, raised in the Cajun wilderness of south Louisiana, I spent my younger years reading books, climbing trees, and making my elders generally miserable. Oh, and I washed lots of dishes. Yes, lots.
Then one day my parents decided that they were going to be counter-cultural revolutionaries - specifically, they took my brother and I out of public school, and homeschooled us. What this meant, in actuality, is that I got to do whatever I wanted, so long as I passed the yearly state-mandated examinations. Of course I passed with flying colours - this is me we're talking about after all.
I filled my teenage years with too much genre fiction, an unhealthy Earth:2025 obsession (all you SHOCK/GoD/UCN/Pirates people out there better give me props!), and crushes on an assortment of females. In addition, I did my best to avoid attending church, since my parents were attending a United Pentecostal church (basically Christianity's version of the Taliban, only without guns - for now).
I ended up enrolling at a little hick public university in Thibodaux, LA - Nicholls State University. I entered to study psychology, ended up spending two years studying fine arts, and finally graduated with a BA in sociology and a fine arts minor (painting and drawing). I pretty much immediately vanished up to Canada. For some reason, I got a MA in sociology from the University of Toronto (Note: I honestly don't understand why I put myself through more cynical sociological ambience - yes, Dr. Martin, you warned me). Now, I'm generally free from academic or corporate dictatorship, and scheming to take over the universe (as the world is not enough).
I study martial arts (although not as frequently as I'd like) - have a lowly 5th kyu in USAF aikido, and currently study wu-style tai chi chuan. My sister is in the US Navy. I'm a mediocre pianist. I've recorded about 12 or 13 songs with varying degrees of pain-causing ability. I hate chess, I like trance and female-fronted goth rock/metal, I will one day be a famous writer/musician/artist/renaissance man, and I have an extreme chocolate addiction.
